Poetry

Not a lot of people know that I should actually be the current Poet laureate, but the Queen seems to be of a different opinion.
Here are come of my proudest poetic achievements.:

The wooden stream:

The Po is a river,
the oak's a tree
and no amout of poetry
will ever make the Po a tree.


or this one, my shortest one yet, has to be read by belting out the ee and the ore:

Donk ee or mule
I can't tell.

or this one:

I once knew a man
who's estate
was in a state,
not to mention
his mansion.

Or this one which refers to my girlfriend, who used to have 2 allotments in southeast London and is a phonetic palindrome.


Her two allotments meant a lot to her.

Anyway, tomorrow I shall delight you with a rewrite of William Blakes famous Tiger poem
for now I will leave you with 3 more morsels of insanity, that I illustrated.
When reading "Seeing Things" remember to leave a pause after the word "back" in each line...
